I almost got beat in arm wrestling by a girl at a party. Needless to say the next day I went out and got a membership to the local YMCA, and I'm still at it.
Why I Love It:
There isn't any other activity that I have tried that gives me the feeling of pure strength and fitness that body building does. Pushing myself to my limits, and then a little bit farther is an amazing feeling. I also enjoy running a lot as well. This helps me stay fairly lean but maintain my mass at the same time.
How I Stay Motivated:
I have a workout partner who has been lifting with me for the past 6 years. He lifts virtually pound for pound exactly what I do, and we have the same body build... here is the catch, he is 58 years old!! Now if that isn't motivation I don't know what is!
Recently I have found a running partner that has been pushing me to new personal speed records. There is a catch here as well, he is 46.
The way I stay motivated is seeing what my running partner and workout partner due and they are both more than twice my age and keep up with me every step of the way.
BB Accomplishments:
Boosting my bench and my squat to new personal highs.

Today I tried Noxplode. I have been seeing my body start to plateau and was searching for something to bust back some big gains again. Honestly I wasn't impressed at all. I didn't see a reasonable increase in the amount of work I could do, nor did I have a more impressive pump. Simply this...
I used Hal Higdon's website which has an 18 week training program for novices. I just started doing distance in September. Hi site is www.halhigdon.com
Meal planning! eat every three hours, three meals two snacks, and take protein drinks before workout if you do not eat an hour before, after workout all the time, and before you go to bed.
actually to be honest i don't have a really good lifting schedule right now. I have just been focusing on cardio but I am going to sit down soon and evaulate my goals and figure out a set lifting schedule. All a work in progress.
