When I Started:
Jan, 2008
How I Started:
I've been doing cardio all my life. I started lifting in college (but only on machines) and made some progress, but once I left college I no longer had access to a gym for a while. Last fall I decided to get back into lifting at the gym at work, but this time I'm using free-weights.
Why I Love It:
I love how I feel after a good workout, and occasionally I manage to work hard enough to lose some weight and see good definition. I love the challenge that comes from focusing on getting stronger with every lift.
How I Stay Motivated:
I look in the mirror! Plus, I love the feeling of challenging myself in the gym.
BB Accomplishments:
Stiff-leg deadlift: started at 60 pounds, now at 155

Well, last month's fat loss attempt failed. I'm hardly surprised, but still a bit disappointed. Fortunately, last week I was able to get on track a little better regarding eating. My worst struggles are on the weekend, when the fridge is only a step away. Once the weather is warmer, I'll be...
