I started working out for HS football. Dropped Fball for wrestling and got a lil more serious my sr year. Started cracking down and dedicating myself to lifting after I broke my hand wrestling my freshman year in college. Years of "cutting weight" took a heavy tole on my physique.
Epiphany - training for my (potentially) last wrestling tourney showed me the wonders of COMPLETE dedication inclusive of lifting, cardio, and proper dieting.
The Open Door - I stumbled across the Gym Jones website, contacted them a few times and was inspired. Physique doesn't me s*** in the real world. My training is my own and as applicable to my future career in Law Enforcement or professional fighting as possible.
Why I Love It:
...the pain
"what doesn't kill you makes you a mean mother f***er"
How I Stay Motivated:
determination and dedication.
"I DON'T DO IT FOR MY HEATH, MAN I DO IT FOR THE BELT"
Gym Jones, those guys are amazing. Can't afford a seminar, but they're still my inspiration, not idols, just inspiration.
BB Accomplishments:
i don't like to brag
but, check the blog "personal records" if you're really that curious

testing true mental and physical capabilities with some serious OVERtraining... 14 consecutive days of training...oo rah!
Goal (Long):
Become an official member of the "10 x Club" before college graduation (May 2010)
Officially retired from wrestling, looking to maybe get into MMA or Muay Thai
i don't care about "getting big" size is wasted unless you can use it... pound-for-pound is VERY important in mma/wrestling. size just seems to b a side effect of getting stronger.
Being "cut" and "looking good" is just the visual interpretation of endurance.
it doesn't matter how people think i look, it matters how my body can preform on the mat or in the octagon or on the street ... its that simple.
Weight Goal:
I want to GAIN 2 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
9%
Upcoming Contest:
Missouri Wrestling Open

Laughed at your comment, it all had a good amount of humor. Sorry to hear Jacksonville has a drug problem, I guess that's true almost everywhere though, and I don't know what's up with the who gangster and thug thing. It's too bad people, youth, try and emulate that life style, look and attitude.
Hope your weekend is going well.
Glad to hear things are progressing well! And you have a great base for the boxing activities! I'm doing good thanks. I finally decided to take my training more seriously and got a PT (Vshape here) so I'm hoping I can make some gains now LOL
yeah i hear what you mean but sometimes when you stop its hard to start again lol but eh im starting back today so yeah...ill hit it hard and effectivly
Hey bro merry christmas! I gained about 7 pounds, Im just trying to add a little body fat, thats right body fat so when I have to sit in cold water for hours I dont freeze my ass off haha WHATSUP?!
Training is going good so far. Last week was my first week back after a 2 month layoff... it doesn't feel like I've lost anything strength wise. My condition is another story, but that should come back fairly quick. oh yea, I run track and about to start playing football again.
Yea, the people who are the most ripped are always looked upon as the people who are in the best physical condition, which Ive never understood. They dont have the skills you do to go toe to toe with walls of muscle, so they stick with the materialistic aspect of working out. Whatever, bodyspace is just as guilty, in my opinion, not enough credit is given to the well conditioned but not as muscled athletes that would eat these pretty boy punks for lunch
Yea man, dropping that much weight is hard for most, especially when your attemtping to keep as much lean mass as possible. Ive been skipping around between 155-170, which is very weird. All in about a month time span. Im trying to put on 10 more pounds to put me up to 180 to give me a little more warmth for the cold water
Yea, I definately agree with those sentiments. Its difficult for many to understand certain methods. I cant imagine being on a conventional program, period. Everything SEALs do is centered around the unconventional, I aint one yet but it doesnt hurt to act like you are, like an actor prepping for a leading role, you have to become that character
Bodybuilding.com is getting on my nerves though, it seems like its strictly for aesthetic purposes you know? I posted another sleep dep article on the board and got like 48 views and no comments, nobody understands anything except big lifts and bigger biceps haha whatever. I Want to try to get into brazilian ju jitsu. Ive been practicing boxing for a couple months and Ive gotten noticebly faster, Im thinking NJJ would be a great art to learn, that or wrestling
Training is a little rough, I went on a 7 mile ruck march with 115 pounds of gear, but the next day I had to have 2 needles stuck into my big toe to kill the nail, kinda sucked, but I get to go marching on saturday and sunday again so thatll be fun. Bro, you look real slimmed down, hard work is paying off, really looking very lean. Yea man, dieting really wears you down, its exactly like training. I have major respect for people who have to watch their weight.
Thanks man... my profile is actually a bit outdated. I switched over to powerlifting. I am about to change my forum signature to my current 5 rep maxes. But nice to... meet you I guess? lol... hope all is well!
Yea definately I understand Ive always thought about how exciting thatd be as an agent. I always wanted to be a detective if being a SEAL didnt workout. I always liked the idea of fighting crime at home. Youre definately strong enough man. Thats a way to think. Dont settle for just an average spot like most.
