The first time i picked up a weight i was a whole 5 years old. I did a overhead press with a 25lbs bar, which i then fell backwards and hit a wall. I've been hooked since. At age 8 my big brother put together a routine for me. it was a pyramid routine, and it worked. I went from benchpressing 35lbs. to 85lbs that year. In high school i took a weight lifting class. There where only eight students that passed out of that entire class and yes i was one of them( Bowing). My weight lifting coach was one on of the toughest anywhere. He was a powerlifter and he weighed about 400lbs, and claimed to be able to squat 800+ lbs. On my finals, I had to benchpress 235lbs at a bodyweight of 125lbs. With him sitting on my stomach. He gave me the command to lift the weight and bring it to my chest. Then he would said "LIFT" , i did and let me tell you he had a very surprised look on his face. I know he didn't think i could do it because he nicknamed me "Mouse".
Why I Love It:

How I Stay Motivated:
My wife "freekylupe" gives me all the motivation I need just from her look. !Flexychef! my long time buddy keeps raising the bar to a higher standard.
BB Accomplishments:

Do you tell your friends and/or family about your fitness goals?
Yes
Why or why not?
I would want all my family to live healthier lives. Any advice they use I know will benifit them. I've already inspired many and it's a domino affect. The same can be said in spreading good will.

What is the most common reason that somebody gets injured while lifting?
Going too heavy too often. You need time to repare.
Have you ever been in this situation? You've worked HARD at the gym for months ,ate right, lost a ton of weight! NICE! ....and you feel great. Then you are appoached by a coworker or a relative. Something like this,"you look sick, are you eating? I mean you look a little thin"....
How I stay motivated? Truthfully, my husband Aaron keeps me going with his positive outlook on life and excitement about my body changing:-) Take care.
