When I Started:
1995
How I Started:
Tired of being a string bean lookin dude
Why I Love It:
I love it because it's hard. Because not everyone does it. When I look in the mirror and see progress it gives me a self esteem that nothing else can. To walk around confident is the best feeling in the world. I dont do it because of what anyone else thinks of me (well maybe a little)but because I know I'll feel like hell the next day if I dont push myself, whether I feel like it or not
How I Stay Motivated:
The thought of cheating myself makes me feel like crap the next day
BB Accomplishments:
Still gaining pounds after being a type I diabetic since I was 4 (31 years)overcoming my short term goals with all this diabetes business to deal with too.
I read a blog the other day that put things into more perspecive for me. This blogger was talking about how her spouse and all the people in her life beat her down as far as staying in shape. This really hits home for me. If fact this is the only place where I can get postive feedback...
thank you for visiting! the key with a chiropractor is to find someone who doesn't want you to become dependent on them. a good chiropractor will improve your condition for the longterm without telling you you need extensive longterm work ups. i saw this doc twice a week the first week, then once a week for a couple weeks and now i only call on him when i need him because for the most part I feel fabulous now and my back has gotten stronger with my workout program too. good luck!
Wow. He's 9 yrs old and has been on the pump since he was 3. It was easier when he had no clue on what to do and I was in total control of everything (except his appetite). So I think this is a stage for us in him becoming more independent and me teaching how to be more responsible with that independence. He has an endo appt on Wednesday, so we'll see what she has to say. She's Type 1 as well.
Ha, he's a good guy.
My son is so-so with the diabetes thing. He eats without dosing...doesn't tell me he ate anything so I'm not aware to do it myself. Things like that. Carelessness. How old were you when you were diagnosed?
So glad I am not alone on here! :) I would not be able to do what I have it weren't for the amazing people on this site! :) Thanks for ur support! Stay focused darlin.. U look fantastic!!
Hey Mark! I'm not entirely sure our little group is going to help you much. We just do small weekly challenges but the rest is up to the individual. Self motivation, you know? But if you're still interested I'll talk to Janellerific and we'll go from there.
listen eat, eat, and um eat its the most important thing to gaining weight I eat 12,000 calories a day I eat 10 meals a day follow my diet program and I promise you you'll gain weight take in pleanty of protein and just eat a lot thats all I can say
Thanks for the advise! You look great yourself:) Ya the workout is kinda rushed so im sure it would be hard for a guy to gain alot of muscle, but it should lean anyone out. Keep up the good work:)
