Background

When I Started: Jan 2011
HOW I STARTED:

I noticed in my freshmen year of high school that I reached 160lb. That took a major blow to my self image and confidence. Thanks to my Swim Coach I lost 25lb, now the last bit is on my own.

WHY I LOVE IT:

I love seeing the difference it can make to my body and mind. I feel that pushing my self for a moment, makes me feel accomplished.

Well, this year has been not so good for working out. I have been keeping all A's and doing the All State process for choir (Almost made pre-area)and getting sick with a 104 degree fever. Now that break is here, I am not sick from stress and can start back up on my health and fitness. So far I have ran two 5K runs and one 10K with my big brother. My brother and I are running and working out together, so that makes it easier for me. I hope I can keep this habit of running and working out when the break ends. Wish me luck!

Not very fun

OK, so I had a handling job at the Oklahoma Dog Show last weekend and another handler and I got really sick on Sunday. We could not keep ANY food or drinks down. So the ten hour drive home sucked. I kept throwing up for five hours straight, funny part is when I got home my dad threw a plate of BBQ at me. I don't think I am going to eat very much for a while.

Well, I have finally convinced my family to switch to a healthier life style! Took me four years to do so. Now, we have been cooking food from complete scratch for two weeks and I finally dropped some of my off season weight (Thank god!). Thanks to that diet change, I can now make a lot more food that I want to cook ex: tilapia, chicken with veggies, cabbage, mixed veggie dishes, ect... Only consequence is the ever so frequent visits of my friends (Mostly my friends who are leaving for the military this fall). They seem to enjoy my food more than their own mothers' cooking, Don't tell Mama tha...
