When I Started:
Jan, 2007
How I Started:
My dad was into it a lot (he was benching 300 at 150 lbs) and that got me going, as well as wanting to improve myself physically and I used to play basketball competitively and the need for something athletic tranferred over to weights. Also, two other people in particular (besides my dad) David Boston and Sylvester Stallone.
Why I Love It:
It's a time to get away, take out your frustrations, and improve yourself physically and emotionally. If you don't want to look and feel good, you're crazy. Also, the constant manipulating of the body and seeing through trial and error what works for you.
How I Stay Motivated:
You can always be leaner.... look better.
BB Accomplishments:
125lbs to 170 in less then a year.
Forum Signature:
"You're a peanut butter man now, eh, sir?"
"Yes, I believe I am.... I thoroughly enjoy this peanut butter."
Count Chocula is my only carb source.
A man who is the best at what he does. Always.
Which pro bodybuilder/fitness/figure competitor has the ideal physique? Why?

What mistakes did you make when you first started working out?
Eating under 2000 cals a day trying to get ripped before having the muscle to begin with. Than bulking up much, much too fast and wasting time cutting all of the fat off. Slow and easy.
Abe just read your rant about the traffic violation, when I use to live in CA. they use to stop me for anything, just to "check my papers" later I learned that was called profiling, back then I was a kid of 18 years.
i messed up on my diet. i was doing 2 a day cardio, and i was jogging 3 to 4 miles a day. hell, i was doing up to 9 miles of distance in a day because i was runing at 5 to 6 mph, and doing 45 min cardio sessions, twice a day, 6 days a week. but i learnd
Hey Abe, Uh, I was just wondering dude..how exacly did you bulk the wrong way ?
I'm new at this bulking stage as well.
I'm bulking with Mass XXX by GNC..is that a good move ?
lol Yeah, I guess I dont huh. Im just kinda in and out. Its been a pretty loose and liberal couple of months. I am glad to have retained some definition. I will be tightening up my diet a bit more again. (Less Ben & Jerry's) lol and hopefully filling out a bit more b4 its time to really prep for spring! How R thngs w/u?
Long stories are my specialty! If you are cool with it, I would be interested to hear about it. I think we get so much from the practice of this pursuit that it only makes sense to receive its gifts consciously, instead of just being surprised by the benefits randomly. So, if you're down, hit me up. I am very curious what it is that hangs you back from starting in to competition . . .
Dude, thanks for the reps in the forum! And I got to ask: when are you going to begin prepping for a contest?! You're ready, man! If you ever want to set up consultation, let me know -- speaking as a coach, you are VERY ready!
Low test levels or you...cough, cough, "building"? I'm curious, is it pretty easy to convince your doctor to put you on it? Things are going well here. I've been bulking to 200 and I'm pretty much there. Going to start cutting after new years.
looking good man.. i was reading up on your page.. you were saying how you were working out wrong.. what were you doing wrong? and whats some good tips for me to loose a lil bit of the love handles?
