I started bodybuilding in 1979 at 17 when I discovered women's bodybuilding. I joined a gym, ran, biked, taught aerobics and did triathlons for many years. I competed in bodybuilding and powerlifting 1982 through 1988. I won the Midwest Open in 1986. I worked out on and off over the years but really started back in earnest this year February 2012 when I realized I was getting old, tired and fat. and BORING.
We like everything about it - the working out and the results. We love a healthy, outdoors, active lifestyle. I personally have been involved in horses since I was six years old (Pony Club) through college and now as an adult living on a horse farm. Our family continues to be active in the Pony Club and our local saddle association and that (more so than fitness) is our family's focus in life. Fitness is really just to enable our horse activities and our family farm and fun lifestyle.
