Since high school, I loved Tae Bo with Billy Blanks! He was so motivational and inspiring (his blue jumpsuit was AMAZING). I also enjoyed Tony Horton because he was hilarious during workout videos while everyone else was serious. Their videos were just so much fun and I always wanted to be one of the girls in them. I then saw other beautiful and strong women here and there that inspired me. Mostly to lift weights, and not be afraid to pack on muscle. I googled some of these amazing heroines and got serious when I saw that some of those women had my body types and modeled or competed on stage. Those women who forever changed my life were Zuzuana Light, Jamie Eason, Melissa Sarah Wee, Alexandra Bring, and many others. When I saw them living comfortably, healthily and strongly at old age, I was touched. And those who were living at a low bodyfat % by practicing a balanced lifestyle absolutely took my breathe away. I want that!!! ME ME ME!
It feels empowering to be strong, sexy and toned all at the same time. To have that strong mentality that reflects your insides is a challenge; but you know you can do it, and you know you're a showstopper. That is what I love. The Czechs and German have a saying: "in a healthy body, a healthy spirit". This is true =). It becomes more than physical, it becomes transcendental and 'one' with the mind and soul.
