I worked out while I was in the military but I had no knowledge of how to actually work out. After I got out life got too busy and I quit for several years. Finally I quit my job, found a much better one, and on my first day at the new job I decided it would be my first day working out again. At first I simply enjoyed running and doing bodyweight exercises, but once the cold hit I found the need to get a gym membership. At which point I fell in love with lifting.

I'm probably too competitive for my own good, but without any friends that enjoy playing sports, I've found exercising as a way to compete against myself.
