What got me started in Bodybuilding was when I got injured, playing college football, and ripped my ACL, MCL, and cracked my cartilage in half. After the Doc repaired the ligaments and removed the left half of the meniscus, I went to Physical Therapy a few times and went through the exercises process so they could clear me for all activities. I realized during this time that I could do this same type of rehabilitation on my own and for others. I did so by first receiving a ISSA Certification and becoming a trainer. I thought that this would be a good job/life style for myself. I have always been a strong person, but I have never been successfully in archiving that bodybuilder physique. I've even been a manager for a GNC store, and tried every type of supplement on the market at that time. I even did the whole BSN stack for 3 months and gained 41 over all pounds, yet it wasn't in tell I started back in the gym and told myself that I wasn't going to incorporate supplements in to my training in tell my body gets to it's own natural peak. Well it's been 8 months and I haven't touched one supplement and I have had the biggest muscular gains and the most body fat (47.75lbs) loss ever. It is all due to the change of eating habits and the daily/weekly staging that needs to be done.
I love working out because of a number of things. One, I have to be a product of my own knowledge, and because personal trainers bodies should always be changing based on all of the new recherches that comes out. We as trainers have to see if certain philosophy's work or are possible, and we do this so our clients beat their goals. Two, anger is another reason that I love working out. Working out allows me to channel that anger, and turn it in to something beatifically to my health and everyone else in my life. The third reason I love working out is that it pushes me to take everything to that next level mentally and physically. It even pushes me to educate myself, so I will be a better, and more well rounded Trainer/Educator. After my first year of competing I realized that nothing beats that feeling you get when your on stage and letting everyone see my hard work, and looking back at what I have to improve on. The next time I see the stage I'll bring my best based off what I know and what I educate myself to bring me to that next level.
