I was always a bit dysthymic and a good friend recommended exercise as a way to help better my overall mood. With no idea what I was doing and 2 25lb max adjustable dumbbells I got to work hoping for the best. Eventually a friend of my family who was an ex bodybuilder noticed and was nice enough to give me an ez bar, an adjustable bench, a barbell, 2 dumbbell bars, and 150 pounds in weight. From there I just began soaking up more and more information, collecting more equipment, and maintaining a healthy diet. Now I'm completely in love with the lifestyle and have no doubt in my mind that it's going to be a part of my life for a long time.
A great outlet that always leaves me in a better mood afterwards. I love the intensity, the dedication, and of course the reward of seeing my progress. I can honestly say that it's the first thing I've ever truly felt passionate about.
