As you get older the weight just sordove "crepes" up on you... One day I just looked down at the scale and said "no more its gotta go"! I was over 150lbs. I immeditaley joined LA Weightloss and lost 35 pounds. That took me about 6 months to do. My passion has always been to weight lift, I had never even lifted a weight before but I always looked at all the muscle magazines and dreamed about having muscles. In April of 2007 I joined the YMCA and started taking some classes. I always looked at the weights and wanted to do them but wasn't sure what to do so I hired a trainer to work with me once or twice a week. We workout for about 6 months but not at the level I wanted to. My trainer had no idea how serious I was about weightlifting. My goal is to be in a magazine :) Finally she realized "hey this girl is serious"! I told her I wanted to do more, to lift heavier! I secretely wanted to compete sometime but I never told anyone. So in March 2008 I went to the Arnold Classic and all I can say is I AM HOOKED! I have never been so motivated in my life! I just want to show women in their 40's you CAN do this, you CAN change your body. I have never played any type of sport, never exercised, can't even do a cartwheel LOL But doing a competition in 2008 is my goal!
