When I hopped on a scale at my in-laws around the holidays and it was tipped at nearly 200lbs, I knew I had to make a change. I was already a member of a gym that I hadn't been to in quite a while. So I stopped in and talked to a trainer to get me going.
He got me started with a basic workout setup, basic nutritional guide and a few sessions to get going. Once I started seeing results, there was no turning back. I've had a passion for it since.
It has become something I love doing. Not once have I dreaded going to the gym. There is few feelings better than leaving the gym after a good workout. And that also helps keep my diet in check. I feel guilty if I eat something I shouldn't, no matter how small. Seeing progress week after week is also a big motivator for me. Every day I look in the mirror and don't see the body I left behind is a good day.
