I got a brutal head cold one week, could hardly eat anything and when I was better I found I'd lost a few lbs. Stopped at the gym the minute I felt better and joined deciding the weight loss felt good and it was something I could do.

I had been disgusted with myself for a long time but never felt motivated to do something about it. Was pretty much like a switch flipped in my head and I started working out and eating properly.
