I started a few years back just lifting some weights in the basement, nothing too serious. When I started university I would go to the gym on a regular basis but I did not really understand what I was doing. During that time I saw only minimal improvements to my lifts and my body. Recently I have begun to take working out more serious. I read articles almost daily to try to learn new things and understand my body better, I even took an anatomy class just for that reason. With this increasing knowledge I have now started to see greater improvements in my body and lifts, so I would say that I didn't actually start working out until this past school year because thats when I started to take it seriously.
There are many reasons why I love working out. The pump you get after a good, hard work out is one of the best feelings you can have. Its a great stress relief during the harder periods at school and the improvements in my body give me an added confidence that I lacked before.
