I made the highschool baseball team in 7th grade and began training with the coaches. I was always chubby and overweight growing up so the results I was getting (even though they were small) encouraged me to garner a passion for the gym. This passion was later encouraged when my brother who had a similar upbringing of junk food got into great shape by running and working out even harder. I was solely hooked after I began losing my "baby" fat and finally wasn't the overweight kid anymore. The lifting and strength came early but it wasn't until I fully researched and understood the science behind nutrition that I made my best gains in lean mass and fat loss shortly after beginning college in 2009.
Working out relieves so much tension and puts me in a zen-like state. That 1 or 2 hours a day where I can push myself to its limit without interference is a feeling like no other. Oh yeah, the pump and results from a good workout sort of bring about an enriched confidence as well ha.
