In high school I had interest in weight lifting but always felt out of place trying to lift next to all of the much bigger and stronger guys from the football team. For the most part they were all double my size and seemed quite comfortable, which made me even more discouraged to train in a group setting. Shortly after missing out on a huge D1 collegiate basketball opportunity, I finally decided it was time to invest in my very own training equipment. By age 21 I had put on respectable amount of muscle and I've been hooked every since.
There are so many things in life that are out of our control. Even as indivisuals we all have things we have to work on. We all have 'bad habits' and are tested with temptations all around us all the time. Bodybuilding is a metaphor to life for me. I see the imperfections as well as the potential and the vision to see what can be in the future. Just like anything else in life, results don't come over night and anything worth having is worth fighting for.
