Well, I've always been really skinny and I was born with a slight pidgeon chest that made me a little self conscious. I started doing pushups and stuff to hide the chest, which worked and I guess I just never stopped.
Being part of a pretty conservative family, I grew up with a slight fear of fitness supplements like Proteins and creatine. In the past few years I became really good friends with someone who knew a lot about supplements and weightlifting. He helped me to understand a lot about lifting and gaining muscle and different exercises so I could feel comfortable in a gym. Now I love it!
I love the feeling you get after a workout cooldown and your body is warm and comfortable and relaxed. Your mind gets very peaceful. I love the progress of lifting and becoming stronger. It's actually really fun! Being sore is bittersweet. Painful, but I love it at the same time. I'm able to see results and change what I look like! That's huge to me! I'll probably be lifting throughout my life now, but I never want to get too big.
