After going to the doctor one day and seeing 299 lbs on the scale I freaked out and realized I had to do something and quickly! So I started eating clean carbs and lean protein and lost 35 lbs without any exercise. Then I did all 90 days of P90X and continued to lift until I reached 212 lbs. I was on a Disney Cruise and I saw a dude that was just BIG and pretty cut and I told my wife, anyone can be skinny and I have worked hard to get where I am but I want people to know exactly how hard I have worked. Almost one year later, I have put on 19 lbs in a clean bulk and I am now cutting to see my results.
Probably my favorite aspect of Bodybuilding is the discipline that is required to be successful at it. It requires a lot of trial and error to determine what works for you as an individual which I enjoy also. But I know a lot of people who work out that don't understand diet and it's importance and I love being able to discuss it. I love that the time you spend in the gym is just the beginning of it and you have to be disciplined every hour that you are awake.
