I learned the ropes the summer before high school. I wanted to get stronger and fit in with the "big boys." Seeing as I'm 5 foot 5, I got a lot of slack for being a short guy. Once I started lifting weights and working out, I gained a lot of respect for my strength gains. Nicknamed blood, sweat and tears, farmers boy or pound for pound, I relish in this type of reputation.
After college I got lazy with my desk jobs. I got fat, ate poorly and was in poor health. At 185 pounds I decided enough was enough and decided to use other people and bodybuilding.com as inspiration. A good friend of mine lost an insurmountable amount of weight and transformed his body. I wanted to do the same and get back into the shape I was post High School. After changing my diet, incorporating workout routines and following numerous programs from the 12-Week Transformation to the DTP, I feel like a million bucks. I'm back to what I was at the start of college and feel like I've been given a whole new begining.
Now I workout to keep a good physique and to stay healthy. BodyBuilding/Working out has turned from a fun hobby into a lifestyle. While other's still motivate me, I enjoy motivating others and introducing them to healtheir liftstyles, fit routines and proper diet. I will never go back to what I was because I enjoy this lifestyle and the way I look too much. Once you change, you'll feel the same way.
BodyBuilding.com has been a great tool and I owe it a lot to this site for providing the necesary resources to maintain a healthy lifestyle
