Matt Schechner, owner of High Intensity
Headquarters, roots in fitness started when
he underwent back surgery at age 13. It was
successful but the doctor wanted to fit him
with a full torso back brace for life. He refused,
saying, âThere has to be another way.â
The doctor mentioned that exercise was coming
into favor at the time in physical rehabilitation
circles and suggested it âmightâ work, and that
was all Matt needed to hear.
Matt has helped hundreds of people for over thirty
years get in the absolute best shape of their lives and learn
how to overcome any obsticles they may be facing.

His personal fitness achievements at age 53:
425 fist push-ups, flat down to the floor
to full lock-out, in 19 minutes; 365 strict-form
pull-ups in a half hour, 640 in one hour, and
1000 in one hour and forty-five minutes.
