I have always loved fitness and eating healthy. As a college student, I still worked out, but had the typical 'college student diet' aka too many carbs, beer, and not enough vegetables and un-clean meals. After graduating college in 2008, starting my first post college job, and falling in love my work outs went to the back burner. I ended up only working out 3-4 days/week and nothing for about 6 months when I was at my first job. After quitting that job and repairing my self mentally, I realized I need to start working out diligently. However, I still only did 4 days a week (mostly cardio) and not enough strength training. In Jan. 2011, my fiance and I booked our first trip to Mexico. That was a big push for me. I started working out 5 days/week and power walking or running on Saturdays. I would strength train two days/ week for 40 min. I did not know much about it and was not doing exercises to hit the right muscle groups or enough weights (reps and pounds). I started doing Kettle bell in April 2011 (Kettleworkx DVD's and running). The kettle started leaning me out, but then as most people do, by body hit a plateau. Thank fully, I discovered Jamie Eason Live Fit Trainer in Feb. 2012. From inspiring facebook pages and researching the program on bodybuilding.com, I was so excited to start the program. I changed my diet, added supplements, researched clean meals/recipes, and started her program. I have never had this much muscle in my life or such an understanding and inspiration for clean eating and lifting! Thank you Jamie Eason! I can't wait to see the progress in a month! Fitness and clean eating has changed my life. My new goal is to get into the fitness industry and inspire others the way I was. Having a defined and muscular body for my wedding in Jan 2013 is another;)Esp. since we are getting married in Mexico:)
Weight lifting gives me a since of mental and physical strength that I never got from cardio. I feel so much better about my self! The lifting has actually helped my running become more effective. HITT training is my favorite form of cardio, burn more fat in less time. This also helps me increase my PR for running. Lifting will always be a huge part of my life. I hope to make the fitness industry a my career path.
