I started weightlifting seriously my second year in the military (currently on year 4). I am a combat medic with the Navy (corpsman) My specialty is combat medicine, nutrition, and exercise physiology. I deploy with marines as there medical aid, there is two ways to win over a marine's approval; 1. Understand and respect there heritage and 2. Kick there ass and be better than them at physical training. I accepted both challenges and I am proud to say that I have been successful in both areas.
I love working out and staying in shape. I believe in order to accomplish your goals in the gym it is essential to have a healthy balance of weight lifitng, cardio, supplements, nutrition, and rest. Anyone who has been in the gym long enough will tell you that muscles are not made in the gym but at the dinner table and in bed. I have developed my own hybrid bodybuilder/powerlifting workout routine. It is a year long routine with 3 month intervals (because I understand a year is a long time to be dedicated to a routine). I personally train over 20 marines and sailors with this routine all have had significant gains and success with their personal goals. My training with them includes a proper nutrition program along with supplementation to fit there needs. I love what I do and will do this for the rest of my life.
