I was obese all throughout my childhood. I struggled with my weight and embarrased to go out in public. My dad and uncle were always big into working out, and one day my father invited me to tag along. After the first day, I realized I ABSOLUTELY HATED IT! I stuck with it for about 2 weeks, and then I quit. About a year later, when I was in 6th grade, I started walking with my mom. I couldn't even do a mile! I was so upset that I became determined to get in better shape. I walked everyday that summer, but I didn't lose any weight. Then, in 7th grade, my sister's husband invited us to run with them. We trained for a 5k. Weeks went by and we got better and better, but still no weight loss. Then, I got frustrated with it all and quit everything that summer. No beach for me. Then in 8th grade,August 2011, I started reading about bodybuilding. I read about bulking/cutting. I realized that cutting was all I needed to get the weight off. With support of my family and friends, I managed to drop 30 lbs in 12 weeks thanks to Kris Gethin's hardcore 12-week trainer. I was in the best shape of my life. I was hooked. Then winter came around and my uncle encouraged me to bulk. I was against the idea. I didn't want to gain back any fat at all. But, I went for it. I gained about 10 lbs of lean muscle. Then, in February of 2012, I cut again. I am now in the best shape of my life and I can run in times I never imagined.
