I am mostly looking to gain muscle mass. Slow progress is okay. Secondarily, I want to lose bodyfat. My tertiary goal is cardio-vascular fitness. I am signed up for a 5K run in October. It will be the first one I've done in 7 or 8 years, and I've found that fear of failure is a good motivator for me.
I am crazy for doing this, but I am going to enter a bodybuilding contest. I think. It is the NPC Natural Michigan contest, which is to be held in mid-July of 2008. Nothing seems to motivate me more than fear of looking bad on stage.
I will check out another (Novice Michigan) contest...
13 weeks out, wow! Are you getting excited? (I'm sure you are!) You're looking pretty awesome, yourself! :)
Thanks for the tip and the link (and the compliment)! When I have some more time I'll have to pop over there and check everything out. I lurked around MD for a while but got kind of intimidated there, maybe this other forum will be more my speed... Thanks again for everything, Paul, take care, and KIT! :)
Paul!! You're online!! :) How have you been doing? Thank you for the compliment, I've been working hard with my diet and I guess it's showing, ha-ha, a lot of people seem to like that shot. Hope to see you around here more often now!
Thanks for dropping by! I thought that might have something to do with you suddenly disappearing from the forums, considering that you mentioned your work was getting fussy with the BB.com site before--c'est la vie, I guess. :( But I hope you're training is still going well, too! While I personally may be the tortoise and not the hare, progress is progress, and so I'm not going to complain. :) Take care until next time!
I didn't know you are an artist! Well, I am impressed with what I've seen of your work that you posted! I've never been as much a painter myself but have the greatest respect for people who can manipulate oils, acrylics, etc. with such a deft brush. Keep up the awesome creative work! :)
Hi Paul! Thanks for visiting my Bodyspace again--I've been wondering how you are lately, too, and hope that you and yours are all doing well. :) On my end, modifications to my diet are making me excited about hopeful gains in the future--I'm still striving for that bodybuilder physique!! (Hopefully I'll have a new picture to post soon to prove the above statement!) But until next we meet at BB.com time, take care, and best wishes...
