Christine Moore( Fitness Competitor of the week #160), a girlfriend of mine, is a competitor. She talked about the excitement of being on stage, and how it's fun to have a goal and obtain something you know will be extremely challenging! I have been competing for 3 years now. I have a 3 year-old. So you do the math... yes, competing was something I told myself I would do to get the baby weight off! I think a lot of mother's put all of their focus on their child and loose sight of their own goals and needs. I make sure to workout daily. Not just for myself but I'm setting a great example for Kirsten, my daughter, as well.
Why I Love It:
I'm very competitive by nature, and extremely goal-oriented. Challenging myself and pushing the limits is what keeps me going strong. AND Fitness competitions were the perfect transition from doing gymnastics in High School and college.
How I Stay Motivated:
I always have something on the horizon... photoshoot, contest, swimsuit season. OR I just look at my beautiful daughter, Kirsten, and know i want to set a good example for her to be healthy and STRONG!
