Needed to gain some muscle mass to make myself a better sprinter and thrower in College. Track coach got me into the weight room and I have not looked back since.
Why I Love It:
It is my escape from all my stress and work - keeps me sane - and looking good is always a plus I guess ;)
How I Stay Motivated:
There is always room for improvement, always a push for that extra rep, those 5 more lbs that I know I can lift ... compete with yourself.
I want to get back to my peak shape ... grad school has cut out a lot of my training and dieting - now my goal is simple. Get back to a weight of at least 204-206 lbs. Once I get there, we will see if I want to go higher.

Weight lifting started: May 2001
Original weight: 122 lbs
Height: 6'0
As may be obvious by those stats alone - I am a hard gainer when it comes to muscle mass. Over the past 7 years I have trained and accomplished many goals as far as building muscle mass are concerned. Some of the stats below may help:
Heaviest weight achieved: 217 lbs at 8% body fat - August 2004
Heaviest cut weight: 204 lbs at 5.5 % body fat - January 2005

How long do you rest between sets on average? Why?
3 mins on heavier sets, 2 mins on lighter sets.

Screw celebs ... If I had their money, their trainers and their time ... I could look like anyone in a matter of weeks.

Why I like this video: If this does not move you ... to finish what you start - to have pride in what you do and to actually live the moment ... however bad things may get from what you expected ... something must be wrong with you :) Motivation to be simply amazing as a person.
Thanks ace! ;) I am finally fitting my clothes almost the way I want to!! A couple more weeks I should be seeing those beautiful abs showing through! When I see lower ab definition that's when I'll be in the final phase of project hotbody!! Keep watching and rootin for me!!
