By December of 2004, I had weighed the heaviest I had ever been (about 215 lbs with about 23% BF). After looking at pictures of myself and realizing how much I had let myself go, I decided to turn the situation around.
I participated in a physique challenge at my gym, and was able to lose over 30 lbs. in 8 weeks. I have been able to maintain my weight at 185 lbs and about 13% BF since then.
Recently, I'm becoming more interested in bodybuilding with the goal of possibly even competing in the next couple of years. For now, I'd like to get to a weight of about 200 lbs with 10% bodyfat in one year's time.
Now that I've seen the changes I can make to my body, I'm excited to see how far I can take it!
thanks for the add and kind words man. i take NO2 which helps, as well as my body maintaining a perpetual pump. i also believe my lat spread helps the appearance of extra size. ur looking fit though, bro! good luck hitting that 200 mark!
Thank you mang for the comment. It's a long road to success but one has to keep their head up and have a clear set of goals. Hard work at and out of the gym pays off!
My pleasure man! That's some serious progress...it's always cool to see friends transforming! That's what I love about this!
Well I don't know if any progress pictures would be allt aht different. My diet was pretty off for a few weeks, and I don't know if I'm much more cut. I've started Keto though! I'm going to see if that gets me any more sliced up! Hopefully! I started a diet log in the Keto Log section of the forum, you should check it out!
Haha thanks bro! Gotta stick with it, especially when you're eating like I have been. My family has a time-share at a resort in Fairmont Hot Springs...so that's like in the Rocky Mountains. It's wicked, lots of golf, which I love, but there's not enough hours in the day to play all I want!!!
It's going AWESOME. I'm on vacation right now, but still lifting like crazy, and haven't missed a single morning of cardio! I also feel a little fuller since I've relaxed my diet a bit.
"Holy barn-door back Batman!!!" Great profile pic, serious progress bro!!!
Good shit bro! Too many people neglect training back, haha I can be guilty of that too. I'm trying so hard to prioritize delts and legs, that I'll sometimes not work chest or back for like 10 days at a time or something. I'm getting a little better now about making sure everything is hit more regularily though! So are you bulking?
good for you man:) Ya, my advice is to not do it until you feel ready, and also to not do it for any reason than yourself because if you start looking at where you place, it becomes a negative experience as judging is not always what it should be. It's good though because you focus harder on things you hate training.
