Never walked in a gym until a little over two years ago at the age of 44, very overweight. Can't believe that I didn't do it many years prior. Have been going about 5-6 times per week since. Yes - you can gain muscle and lose weight at the same time...even in your mid forties and with only supps being post w/o whey shakes!
Why I Love It:
The good feeling after a hard workout; seeing my body be transformed.
How I Stay Motivated:
The mirror.
BB Accomplishments:
Losing 35 pounds and having people say to me, "Have you been working out?"
I have just started a lower rep routine after being on a higher rep routine for a long time. I changed it to see if the "shock" factor would promote more muscle growth.

Which pro bodybuilder/fitness/figure competitor has the ideal physique? Why?
I try not to compare myself to pro bodybuilders...that would be too depressing :(
Why I like this video: This is an intense video. He attacks the weighs like a madman. Watching it helped me realize what I needed to do to get over a plateau.
I figure now is as good a time as any to start a blog.
I was getting down on myself recently because I was not seeing much improvement. I ran into some folks whom I had not seen in awhile, and one of them said, “Dude, look at those arms – you must have been lifting weights.” ...
Thanks a lot for the bench press encouragement. I was so happy when I did it. I made sure I had a spot though, because my left triceps sometimes just gives out. This time it didn't!!!!
Hey!
The improvements look better than they are - and I have a LONG way to go.
The arms are 2 thirds triceps, so I'm doing dips and skull crushers - and straightforward curls for the bis.

Fantastic Workout Journal. 1.5 inches on the arms in half a year. It sounds like you are meeting your goals. I also find it easier to develop my chest and back. Any tips for the arms challenged?

Thank you. I very much intend to enjoy my grandson. can't wait til he is around 3, I know I should speed it up. thanks again.
I changed up my workout last week and will be doing it for about 6 weeks, than change again. I workout 4 days straight with 30 min or so cardio after lifts, then sat/sunday cardio. I am hoping the change will kick it up another gear, we'll see.
Peace.
Greg
