i started lifting in a weight training class offered at my high school. Started really getting into in June 09 with my workout partner, spike.
Why I Love It:
I love the endorphin release, the blood rush, the sweat that drips down my forehead, the torn up and blistered hands, and being able to see my body change every week in the mirror.
How I Stay Motivated:
Just thinking to myself, "how bad do you want it Tj?...you're ancestors fought and died through much more hardship then lifting some weights, you can at least make them proud."
BB Accomplishments:
Getting to single digit bodyfat and inspiring and helping others

ZestyTchanged Weight from 175 lbs. to 185 lbs., a 10 lb. gain in 14 days
Ive gone through a lot in my life and ive learned that getting hit only makes you stronger and more prepared for the next blow. Everyday i think about how much i value my life and all that i have to live for and it keeps me motivated to have a strong healthy physique that will keep me healthy into my old years and keep me at my prime through my young.
What up dude, thanks! Check out my workout journal in my thread section when you get a chance..I have my entire training routine and diet located there. Lookin great man, keep hittin it hard!!
As far as my routine. I am old school and train heavy most of the time. Really heavy to the point where I am wiped out in 6 sets for my entire workout. When I get into full blown bodybuilding mode, I lighten it some and the sets go up 12 - 14 total with more variety of exercises. I get his question a lot, so I am going to do up blog on how my training looks like most of the time. Thanks for the motivation!
TJ, Thanks for the supportive compliment and the friend add! Speaking of great physique you have done some serious work this last year. It is great to see you build such a solid foundation early in life. You are definitely going to take this far.
Well I like dumbell presses better because they recruit more fibers and you use more stabilizer muscles. I get a much better pump when I use dumbells and always seem to get a lil bigger faster...but it depends on the person...everyone is different
I do all different kinds exercises for pecs...but mostly Ill do incline db, flat db, and decline barbell (never much heavier than 225 though) Sometimes Ill do cable flys, but I am concentrating more on size then separation. I will also mix DB and BB exercises. I like to do one arm reps...Ill hold say an 85 lb db in the air with one arm, then lower the opposite and complete a press..then alternate...i get a great pump from this!
Nah man, if you do back correctly, your arms will definitly get a pump going.. but shouldn't be sore or burnt out the next day. You want all the stress to be on your back only. I use straps with any rowing movement, even if I don't need to for that reason.
And my general theory is to focus on alternating between the movements daily. Chest is very simular to shoulder day in some ways, so I throw legs in between them to give my upper (front) body a break etc.
Hi TJ! Thank you so much for the friendship invite and the lovely compliment. Best wishes to you on your training. Please feel free to drop by anytime - I enjoy getting to know my friends and following their progress. I hope you have a good week! ~ Jen
Thanks alot man. I generally will do about 5 workouts per body part (3 for arms), and 3-4 sets each. Usually the first 1-2 movements will be 4 sets, and the rest 3.
