How I Started:
Disabled from a bad double fusion neck operation on Aug 3, 2005, that resulted in 3.5 years of severe pain & spasms from pinched nerves & muscles. Right Arm strength down to 5 lbs Jan 2009. MD burned pinched nerves in neck via radio frequency Jan 27, 2009. Finally managed to start lifting any weight March 2009.

Determined to overcome neck/back pain and rebuild strength. Goal is lose weight to 200 lbs, my previous bodyweight prior to the operation.
BB Accomplishments:
Lost from 260 lbs to 240 lbs (20 lbs) in first 63 days of diet and exercise.

I was only confortable wearing gym clothes because of my weight of 260 lbs.
Pressing 980 lbs + 45 est Machine Wt. This is Up 210 lbs in 2 days. I had done sets of 810, 860, 910, 950 (+ 45 lb of estimated Machine Wt) prior to this.
I was only was doing 635 lbs (Including the machine wt) on this July 13, 2009.
This one almost stopped on my first rep.. so it may be near the ...

Goal (Long):
Strength increasing, so that is what I am working on. Then increase Reps to 12-15 per set, and lose weight in process of getting fit and down to 200 lbs with more muscles.

Hey Dave! Sorry to learn about your injury. Hope that you heal fast. I was sick all last week with sinus and upper respiratory infection. Posted prog pics last week and will post ab pics when I get my bodyfat down to 7% so I have a while yet and a lot more work to do. Hope that you are having a great week! All the best!
Wow. So did you get your neck fixed or are you just dealing with it? I've been working nonstop since January. I just did some calculations and discovered that I need to eat 2810 calories in order to grow. It's 3pm and I've already eaten 1020 cal. 1800 to go.
I'm currently a Kinesiology major but I'm not 100% sure on what profession I'll fall into. Thanks for the advice. Wow, those are great numbers! I agree it's all mental, I always imagine that I'm trying to push my feet through the floor when I deadlift, haha works for me.
No kidding! You're doing real good for yourself. The rows declined because I tried to mix it up a little. Just doing them a bit more concentrated, pinching my back together, and holding it. The only supplement that I'm currently taking is caffeine.
