Started in 2005, but didn't get serious till Sep 2008. I was slated to get married on the beach in Hilton Head Island in September 2005. At that time I was a major fatass, 230+ lbs and growing. I’ve always been self-conscious about my body and since my wife and I would be the center of attraction that week I wanted to look good. Real simple, beach + shirtless + everyone I know = Pictures, and I didn't want to look bad. When I started it was hard for me to put on my shoes. :(
Why I Love It:
My whole life I've done nothing but abuse my body, I ate everything I wanted, smoked 12 years, and did everything I could to avoid physical activity. It took me only a few weeks to realize the benefits of training and these benefits have greatly contributed to everyday functions.
How I Stay Motivated:
I'm going to the beach this summer and I don't want to look like sh!t.
BB Accomplishments:
When I started working out I couldn't bench 95lbs, or squat 135, and I couldn't run more than a 1/4 mile, I was in bad shape. Now I can run 5 miles bench over 250 and squat over 300. I'm in my 30's and in the best shape of my life. Now that I have the strength, I want the body, I know the muscle is there I just have to uncover it.

This was taken when I was first starting out.
I was 214 pounds with 22.8% bodyfat.
I felt terrible and decided to make a change."
I'm working hard as hell, diet is 100% clean and workout 4 times per week. Just started intervals a few days ago, looking for some good progress over the next month.
Yep, best of luck. I know you can do it!
And hey, Omega 3s does indeed increase muscle cells' insulin sensitivity. I look leaner and dryer without cutting though on a high calorie diet.
