I started teaching aerobics for the free gym membership (I was a cardio junkie). The pink dumbbells were my friends!! Then I got serious in 2007. I started lifting consistently and overhauled my eating habits!! That made all the difference in the world!! You really are what you eat!
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling of my body changing and adapting. I love feeling strong and capable. I love the looks I get from my husband. I love my teenage sons bragging about me...I just love it!!
How I Stay Motivated:
My husband (Diver_Dave) is my biggest motivator and supporter. He believes in me and pushes me to go beyond that plateau.
BB Accomplishments:
Losing 25 pounds of UGLY fat!! Oh, and finally doing real no-sh!t pull-ups!!

Goal (Long):
With my recent health issues, I've had to change the way I workout. I attribute much of my being able to maintain current fitness levels to yoga. So I am now actively pursuing becoming an RYT (registered yoga teacher).I still lift(and always will!!) and will continue my "bodybuilder" training...just with a new emphasis! I still hope to one day compete and will continue to eat and train like an athlete. To all of you with health issues, PLEASE don't give up!!

I do a six day split Sunday- Friday.
Sun= Back
Mon= Legs...heavy(!)
Tues= Chest
Wed= Arms
Thurs= Legs (intense circuit w/ plyometrics!)
Fri= Shoulders
Sat= Rest (FINALLY!)
I still want to compete, but if I can get through 2 weeks without someone being sick, I'd be all set. I actually had to go down to a size 3-4 jean over the weekend, the jeans I had on literally fell off.

LOL, what's someone like you doing reading my blog! Didn't know you taught spin but I wish I could take one of your classes. What's more motivating than a living example to set the pace!!! am doing a marathon in april. but am tring not to run as much so i can put some size on... your abs are great how do you get the lower abs those are the tuff ones for me
Ha ha...I am getting old! Either that or just pic-burnout. I actually did nothing for Halloween. Dressed the kids up and read magazines for like 4 hours. I miss doing that!
HEY! Things are going really well. I am 5 lbs from my target weight. I took 1 week off then ended up with the cold from hell 2 weeks ago. But I'm back at the gym tomorrow, I finally have my strength back after 20 days and I had NO appetite. I was lifting really heavy right before, my bi's are so tight my husband thought I was showing off while I putting away a loaf of bread! I promise I will have new pics soon. I only have 1 pair of jeans that fit right now. Do you remember those days?
