Background

When I Started: Dec 2008
HOW I STARTED:

I was 310 lb and on track for diabetes and a ton of other diseases. So I originally started working out to lose weight for football that's until I found Rugby; and i got down to 195 without really knowing what i was doing so i lost a ton of muscle mass. Then i tried to gain muscle and got up to 225 with decent lifts but not as good as i wanted them. Then I stayed there for a while because it was in season for rugby so i was busy. Then this past summer I got cut from a team for being to short which made me spiral into drinking for 2 months straight causing weight gain with no strength. So I took a hard look at myself and when university started i started working out again and since i've increased my lifts started powerlifting and am training to make the U20 team this coming summer.

WHY I LOVE IT:

It's what I love I'm in school to become a personal trainer with hopes of helping the obese lose weight and feel better about themselves everyday.

turbolean Hey, well done, keep up the solid progress; it's great to be part of a winning team. Remember, with each workout push a little harder so you can blast through any plateaus. Feed your lean muscles with high quality nutrition--treat your body like a ferrari not a pinto ;-) I just wrapped up my first BodySpace blog and encourage you to watch the inspirational YouTube video I posted in the blog...strong mind=strong body!
