When I Started:
1982
How I Started:
I wanted to get stronger and more athletic so I could be good at anything I wanted to do. I started with bodyweight exercises, hundreds of push-ups and sit-ups. When I got access to weights I really got into lifting and have been doing it ever since. I still do bodyweight workouts and benefit alot from them
Why I Love It:
It's something my wife and I can do together. I am never done improving myself both physically and mentally. There is always something else to learn and some way to improve my body. I like the saying "Luck is when preparation meets opportunity", I want to be prepared for any opportunity.
How I Stay Motivated:
I keep a record of every workout. I look at the weight I lifted last time and try to increase it every week. Seeing my progress is a great motivator and comparing myself to other guys on this sight.
BB Accomplishments:
125 pound dips five times
6 pull ups with 60 pounds on a dip belt
7 muscle ups in a row on rings

I haven't been able to lift for a while. I'm in the middle of a train up to go to Iraq and we're so busy (5 am to 1030 pm or later) that lifting is out of the question. I'm still doing push ups and pullups when I can but the no lifting part sucks.
No, they were taken at Shearon-Harris resivoir. I've ridden at Jordan a few times, but prefer Harris, it's closer by and usually has better water conditions.
