Time to revamp this thing (3/16/09) - I have been lifting since I was 15, and bodybuilding since I was 16/17. Anyone interested in a detailed history will find it here:

Working toward the pro stage, EVERY DAMN DAY.
Why I Love It:
It is a sport where 100% of your success and failures can be attributed to yourself. Your body will obviously be pushed to the limit, but above all, your mind will be tested at its' extremes. It is a very rewarding lifestyle that gives tangible results - something few things in life succeed in doing.
How I Stay Motivated:
Create a goal work, work toward it, and keep it in mind when times get tough.
Most people have more days where they would rather not drag themselves to the gym, than days where they look forward to it. If you are one of those people, I suggest finding a new hobby.
I would like to tell you that anyone can do what I have done, and anyone can do what I am doing. But the truth is, few people could - this is a sport that takes full time dedication, and years of patience. Already I have spent nearly 5 years working nonstop to be the best that I can, and yet I still have countless more years to go. It is truly a challenge that few could endure.
To continue my offseason training until I feel ready, then compete again for my natural pro card.

I'm writing this mainly for my own purposes - I feel that having goals written down where I will be reminded of them will help to keep me working toward them - but if any of you reading this have questions, advice, or comments I would love to hear it.
Evan, man you should be very proud of yourself. I just read most of your contest prep thread and you really put in some solid work to prepare for that show. You've got some serious discipline and an insane work ethic. Best of luck with all your goals. Excellent work, man.
Thanks for the visit to my profile and the compliments. Good luck with your goals. How did the show go? I tried the links in your bio and they didn't work.
You are a weakling. You need the juice, girlyman. Take it from me, Jay Cutler, that unless you weigh 300 lbs at competition, you aren't body-building. I recommend horse steroids, not those cow ones that that other girlyman, Ronnie Coleman, used. Also, eat a chicken post-workout. I personally buy my chicken, as well as all other supplements and steroids, from Kroger Co. a/k/a "the Co." Think about it, pipsqueak.
