I've gotten a late start into weight training, mainly because I always used to let everything else take precedent over my own well-being. Now that I've got the bug, there's no stopping me.
Why I Love It:
It's you against yourself...there's no one to drag you down or take credit. At the end of the day, only you can get yourself to where you want to be.
How I Stay Motivated:
The baggy pants, the definition that's starting to show, the sense of accomplishment...it all keeps me going.

This picture is the reason I started working out. All of those clothes were taken to Goodwill!
I've leaned out just about everywhere else, so now it's time to hit the deep pockets of fat. I know I could just lose the weight, but I want to maintain the muscle mass, too. So the weight loss is secondary. My primary goal is to drop my body fat percentage down to 10%.
Alright...I am actually holding to my one-week downtime, much as it's killing me to not be working on the weight training portion of my usual fitness routine. I am still running every other day. At the moment, I am running 3.75 miles in about 35 minutes, which puts me back on my 10K in one...
Workout is listed under the Workout Tracker, but here's the basic breakdown of the current routine:

-Cardio on day 2 in the afternoon, and off-weight day in the AM
-Day 1 is Chest, Tri's and Abs
-Day 2 is Back and Bi's
-Day 3...
Thanks John! You can do it brother...just takes time and a little discipline... keep at it and don't quit. Body RX is a great book that I have been following (the diet) and has worked well for me...take a look the next time you are in the bookstore. stay is touch brother and thanks again.
Most numbers are going in the right direction except for waist and Hips. Complete lack of dicipline there. Happy overall but need to watch my diet more. hows training going on your end. what are your biggest diet struggles? mine is the night binging.
Thanks man! Keep at it and you will be there in no time. I’ve pushed it hard this week and I’m going to take tomorrow off before the old body shuts down. Thanks again!
Hey bro...you can definitely do it my friend. Just stick with your plan, stay disciplined and focused on your goal...then start watching the changes. I'll be checking up on your progress. Keep pressing! BOBBY
