Overall Goal: Always been a lean guy. Historically always focused on endurance. My goal is to take my 170 pound build and get "cut" through serious resistance training and maintaining a healthy diet.

How I Started:
Used to run long distance in college. Ended up breaking my leg, now I don't run competitively but still wanted to stay in shape. I am 28 now and my body is changing do to bad habits and a lack of motivation to work out. Enough is enough, I am determined to turn it around and get in better shape than when I was running
Why I Love It:
Challenging both physically and especially mentally. Forces you to eat healthy if you want to see a change.
How I Stay Motivated:
Compare past photos to present photos.
BB Accomplishments:

Just getting started.
According to HealthCentral.com I have 17 pounds a fat and 153 pounds muscle, bone, body water.
The pull ups, chin ups and shoulder exercises are finally starting to help.
Current Best: 20 Consecutive wide grip pull ups
or 3 sets of 12 wide grip pull ups
Goal: 3 sets of 25 wide grip pull ups
Always been a lean guy. Historically always focused on endurance. My goal is to take my 170 pound build and get "cut" through serious resistance training and maintaining a healthy diet.
I want to complete 3 sets of 25 wide grip pull ups.
Goal (Long):
1. Gain 5 pounds in first 30 days
2. Within 60 Days have a defined six pack
3. Lose the small tire growing around my waist in 60 days or less
4. Eat healthier, high protein, low carbs
5. Bench Press 3 sets of 8 reps, 200 pounds in 120 days
6. Improve muscle mass and appearance in forearm and biceps
7. Transform my image so I feel good about myself when I take my shirt off on the lake.
I ended up doing a very hard Chest and Shoulders routine, then for the challenge I went and ran 4.0 miles when it was about 91 degrees outside on a hilly course. Normally back in the day a 4 mile run would be quite easy for me but this was only the 4th time I...
Looks like you're making some great headway on the pullups! I only WISH I could do what you're currently doing. I think I can hammer out 4-5 if I focus hard enough. Chinups, for me, are always easier. GGGGGRRRR.
I'm trying to gain some mass, and in that simple regard, yeah, I'm progressing well. I'm bigger than I've ever been (I was a tall bean pole in HS), but it isn't all muscle. Oh well. One step at a time.
