I have been working out since I was about 19 years old.
Why I Love It:
Working out makes me feel better physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It lifts my mood when I'm down, and it's the one thread of consistency in my life.
How I Stay Motivated:
Results! There's nothing more motivating than seeing real change in your body. Also, knowing how good I'll feel after I've finished a good workout.
Why do you like having a workout partner? What are the benefits?
I like working out with a partner because we compete -- in a friendly manner -- about the amount of weight we're lifting.

What do you do before your workout to get motivated and energized?
I don't need to do anything to motivate me before a weights workout. I find it best to begin my cardio still groggy from sleep, before I get too much time to dread it, LOL!

What type of nutrition plan are you currently following? Give full details.
I eat 5 to 6 times a day. Each meal begins with my protein choice, and I build around that -- always a LGI or non-starchy veggie or fruit. Life has been rough lately (my mom is dying, my personal life is in transition, and blahblahblah), and as a result, my diet has been crappy and I've totally blown off cardio. And as a result of that, my energy level is down, my bodyfat is in danger of creeping upwards, and I am just...
This month I'm doing high-intensity full-body circuits, lifting heavy but not resting between exercises. I'm lifting three days a week and doing cardio 4x a week for 30 minutes a session.
This is just a quickie attempt at leaning out before summer. Next month it'll be back to more...

Wendy, You look remarkably well preserved for a woman in her forties. So few people keep up there training. I too have been training for the last 23 years (42) and it makes a huge difference. Cheers!
