How I Started:
I had always been into lifting weights, but never really ran, or got into nutrition. My mother had a quadruple bypass done in December, following a heart attack. That is the day, I dedicated myself to health, and fitness. If she has to be healthy, then I should be right there next to her, if not in front, helping her to follow that path.
Why I Love It:
I go into a "zen" like state, when I'm lifting, or running. Complete focus, and a clear mind. I also love the feeling of doing something active, and the endorphins post workout!
How I Stay Motivated:
Constantly critiquing myself, and setting a goal just a little bit past where I think I can handle.
BB Accomplishments:
None, I probably shouldn't even be on here, I'm scrawny right now. Lol, I did drop 30lbs though!

Goal (Long):
Gain at least 25lbs of muscle.
Compete in a marathon.
Compete in an adventure race.
Most of all, to embrace this new way of life, and help motivate others to do the same!
I'm right there with you on the long days. 12-14 hour work days, plus spending times with the family. Haven't done much workouts lately, but starting the P90X program all over tonight. Gonna be sore tomorrow! JT

Man, I'm there with ya. I don't like chainsawing. I love splitting wood with a maul. If I had a bad day there is nothing better then crack'n open some wood. It helps sort out the mind. They should make a lot of millions of the P90X. It works. What company stays in business if their product works? Oh-wait, Mcdonalds have been doing it for years. Nevermind!

I'm still loving my program. My work life has been so crazy, by the time I get to workout, that night, I'm still trying to shut out the work day in my head.I'm not bored with it. It helps that my wifes does it with me. You still lov'n yours?

Hey there, hope your weekend is going well. You'll have to explain to me what exactly you do in a 5x5 workout. I'm in my "easy" week right now. Mostly cardio, core and yoga. We start the next phase on Wednesday. Totally stoked.
