When I Started:
1987
How I Started:
My brother is 16 years older than me. He brought me to this sweaty little dungeon when I was 13. It took a couple more years of maturity for the bug to really sink it's teeth in, but I've never NOT worked out since.
Why I Love It:
The way it makes me feel. The way it makes others react to me.
How I Stay Motivated:
Several things keep me motivated. 1. the mirror doesn't lie 2. the appreciative looks I see my wife giving me when she thinks I'm not looking 3. when my sons talk about "how strong daddy is" 4. most recently, the great feedback I get from Bodyspace and all the other members. My thanks to those of you who have stopped by and left a comment or started a conversation. I'm loving making new friends.
BB Accomplishments:
2nd place- 2008 Granite State Strength Challenge (novice) (my first strongman competition) 3rd place- 2009 Granite State Strength Challenge (HW Open class)

Hey, I read in some old messages that you took ISSA's course. Was it worth it? I am enrolled and making my way through right now. Thanks for any info you can give.

Thanks VERY MUCH for the compliment! I wore the kilt once on a dare from a good friend and really liked it so I had one made in Black Watch as I am not even a wee bit Scottish. I rented the Bonnie Prince Charlie to wear to a Scottish-themed formal event that occurs here once a year. Real men wear kilts!
