I have been in the Coast Guard for 2 years now, I always have been in decent shape I ran track and played soccer growing up, and went to boot camp for the Coast Guard. It wasn't until I reported to my new station that I became really interested in fitness. When I arrived here in Texas My station needed a new Health and Wellness coordinator. I volunteered and they sent me to school.I wanted to set a good example for my crew, so I started lifting weights with one of the bigger guys at the station. I tried to read anything I could get my hands on magazines, website articles, books etc. In just a few short months I have gained a sagnificant amount of muscle.
Why I Love It:
I love the stress relief it offers, It makes me feel good. I love seeing my progress and how my strength has grown.
How I Stay Motivated:
I love being able to appreciate my body for what it can do, not just for what it looks like.
My time at the gym always leaves me feeling as though I've accomplished something that day.
BB Accomplishments:
Not too interested in competing, I do it more for myself and my job. I play soccer competively, and I coach. I just want to be a positive role model.

I can't imagine how fit you have to be to be a member of the U.S. Costguard. The training must be intense! Just want to tell you how much I respect anyone who makes such an extraordinary commitment. Well done you!
What are the big plans for the evening? Stay off the road as much as you can, you know the DRUNKARDS will be in full effect! :( Take Care, Happy New Year!
