How I Started:
I've always liked working out but I never really caught the bug till my Doc. told me if I didnt do something soon I'd be using a walker in 15 years... thus I went to the gym.
Why I Love It:
Its a rush, theres nothing like the pump you get and the thrill of reaching new poundage or reps
How I Stay Motivated:
I refuse to use a walker till I am very old and grey. Plus I miss having a body to be true proud of.
BB Accomplishments:
I am now able to work out at what I consider "normal" weights/reps which took me 6 months or so to get to after letting my self get all fat and out of shape.

While I was in the US. Army Infantry I injured my spine (I basically slipped a disc and the disc is sitting on part of my spinal cord), since that time I've put on an unsightly amount of fat do to not being able to work out as much as I had prior to this injury...or so I thought. Over the last year I've gotten back to the work out point and a little beyond it where I was before the injury... but now I've caught the bug, I want more and less... basically I want to see the muscle not just the out lines behind the fat that built up since it all happened. I'm not really looking to get "huge!" I just want to be as fit as possible so that as I get older I'm not having to use a walker before I should have to do to my back problems.

Yes I know LA Fitness isn't really a gym per say BUT still if they are going to have workout equipment they should atleast spring for stuff that doesn't suck and calibrate the machines properly. I am a fan is the "butterfly" machine in all its forms, wide arm close arm hand grips or...
HAHA the problem is that I have never imagined being in the size I am in! I bought a size 4 the other day and it fit. Im not sure a size 2 or 0 is even realistic lol. As for the gym, I can get you when I go, if you want on the weekends?
