VillainChien Ok. Onlyl 2 days into this new training and diet, and I am embracing rest days. You grow when you rest. Hit it hard, then sleep a lot. :-)

VillainChien Hmmm, maybe I'm going to have to up my carbs for a bit. Some residual social anxiety is creeping in and I don't know what the cause is.

VillainChien Almost don't want to start this diet and training program. Intermittent Fasting and vegetarianism have me at 185 lbs and still leaning out.

  • Yep, energy is good right now. This has been a really slow leanout. Just trying to let it take its course, although I know I've got to watch it. When the body fat gets too low, I tend to get depressed, be stressed out, etc.

eurozn Yeah I was getting curious how that major diet change was affecting you, esp. since you've always enjoyed having the mass on. Still, BF can hide the good stuff so this will be an interesting experiment for you. My lean out was unintentional so I'm going to try and put on quality weight again this time without the carb-crazy loads I was doing last time. drscottpt The program is awesome. It was put out in the One.More.Rep Manual Summer/Spring Edition in Volume No. 3 Dr. Jim Stoppani, Ph.D wrote it. The program changes every week, but it has negatives, low reps, high reps, drop sets, pause sets, giant sets, super sets. Basically everything you could want in 6 weeks. Jun 13, 2013 3:18pm

liorelr Hahah, I love bulking too, but I can only keep it going for 3-4 months, it's exhausting to prepare and eat so much food for long periods (and expensive). Carbs cycling is the bomb! it gives the body what it needs when it needs it the most - before and after workouts mainly, and the body utilizes the carbs for pure muscle making. Are you able to keep your mass while fasting? I find it impossible for me, my muscles just vapor if I don't keep a constant flow of food throughout the day. Jun 11, 2013 5:05am

liorelr Thanks! Sorry to hear about your back, hope it'll heal quickly. Having a PT friend is highly beneficial ;) Leg presses should bring fine results, try tweaking the stance, the reps, the sets. I just finished a bulk cycle, gonna trim the fat, cycle carbs and try to maintain those muscles. Anyways, good luck with your new program! Jun 11, 2013 4:44am

liorelr Hey, and thanks for the nice comment! I'm training legs once a week, doing (very) narrow stance deep squats on smith machine to target the quads in a pyramid fashion (low weight to high weight), machine leg extensions drop sets (high to low weight) supersetted with partial leg extensions (done by leaning forward and doing half-range leg extensions), sumo deadlifts, some incline treadmill walk for hamstrings and calf raises. jimmyhark i'd say cut back on carbs yea, I was taking in around 100g of carbs and that was my 1st meal mainly! 3700 calories is a lot if your cutting but it shows theres room to improve which is a bonus! do you not find yourself hungry at night if your last meal is at 5pm? Jun 10, 2013 2:20am

I dabble on the crossfit as a form of cardio with weights when im pushed for time! my favourite is grace - 62kilo 30 reps clean n press as quick as you can! killer! if its something you've not tried then give it a go see how your body reacts! intermitten fasting 8/16 is how ive lost my bodyfat! that IS something I recommend!
