How I Started: It all got started my junior year in high school. I noticed I was putting on some weight and I didn't know a thing about nutrition so I started working out. My mom had a pretty nice workout space in the basement collecting dust along with a lot of videos and books. I just took it from there. I started weightlifting once I read "Now or Never" by Joyce Vedral
Why I Love It: It makes me feel SO good. It gives me an opportunity to set and reach goals. I feel like it keeps me young, and it sets me apart from most people. I love doing my hair in the morning and seeing the definition in my shoulders and bi's!
How I Stay Motivated: Pictures! When I see other's with an amazing fit body, it amps me up to keep at it. I believe muscles and healthy eating are the only real fountain of youth! I want to stay fit and young for as long as I can.
BB Accomplishments: So far it's the little changes I am seeing and the uplifting feeling I get from weightlifting.

Before
I was real thin about 3 years ago. (120 lbs) At this point, I ate whatever the hell I wanted, go figure. I was mostly jogging or walking for exercise with a little weight lifting but not heavy. I left to work 7 months on a cruise ship and my weight fluctuated like crazy throughout the contract...
 
Weightlifting has made me curvy and I really love this! Gaining weight doesn't seem all that bad, when it's turned into muscle! 135 lbs

Girlie~ Your doc is on the right track!! Stick with it.. keep doing what you've been doing. You are right if your thyroid is out of whack no matter what you eat or how hard you train your body will not give in and lose weight..but it will gain easily!! Don't give in..fight the fight :)
