I've tried many programs and knew I had to figure it out once and for all to reach my goals.
My mother wanted to buy me Jenny Craig but I wanted to eat real food, not processed junk out of a box. This is pretty much what I eat daily:
Breakfast: 7-grain hot cereal, blueberries, 1 scoop protein powder. 1 cup of coffee.
Mid-morning snack: Apple & cottage cheese.
Lunch: Turkey, 1/5th avocado, lots of raw greens in a whole wheat roll-up with carrot sticks. 1 cup of herbal tea.
Mid-afternoon snack: Balance protein bar.
Dinner: Usually leftovers, could be beef stew, chicken stir fry, etc.
If I'm really hungry after that, I'll have a greek yoghurt with wheat germ.
I also drink plenty of water throughout the day, take a multi-vit, astragulus extract during cold and flu season and 4,000iu's of vit D.

I would like to apologize up front....kind of a warning....I am brutally honest in general and I will be equally so here. Plus, when I'm ticked off, I tend to swear like a sailor. I actually started 4 weeks ago and have lost 5lbs so far. I used to be the tall, skinny girl that all the other girls hated, but those days have gone. I'll be honest - I want them back! I used to walk into a room and would notice all the men's heads that I made turn. I don't turn anyone's head anymore. I have turned into the dumpy 40-something that I never wanted to be.
