How I Started: to get better at high school sports
Why I Love It: The energy I give to eating right and working out creates energy that I can give back to my wife and kids and to my work. OK, I guess like feeling good about my body, too.
How I Stay Motivated: It really is this website. I say "Hey, how's it going" to lots of people at the gym who come and go, but it's all business there. Here, I can check in with inspiring people and take stock of my and others' progress.
BB Accomplishments: All through school, I couldn't do a single pull-up. No Presidential Fitness Award for me! Now, I can do a pull-up. Several, actually.

After a "vacation" consisting of horrible food, one weight workout in nine days, and basically being held hostage by relatives, I am back, not only working out (as I have been all along) but keeping track of it.

I too could not do a pull up in high school. So embarrassing. Now I do eight. That has been a huge accomplishment for me so I know how you feel.
