How I Started:
turned 40 and in the worst shape of my life and said to my self, "Its now or never" and here I am. I have two young boys 2 and 4 that I want to be in shape and have lots of energy for. I don't want to be the fat old dad that can't do anything. I want to be proud to take off my shirt when they want to go to the beach, pool, or water park. Also my wife is also trying to lose weight for health reasons and I told her this would be a great time for us both to make a change to a more healthy life style.
Why I Love It:
To look good and feel better about myself both emotionally and physically.
How I Stay Motivated:
talk with others and see how they have transformed their bodies

I came across this picture and saw what I had looked like in April 2007. I can't believe that I let myself get this out of shape.
Its time to take back control before I gain back all my weight. This is what happens when you eat what you want for a couple months.
Hey, I've actually got a ton of new pics that need to go up. I'm dieting for my first competition which is on October 4th so im about 8 weeks out, cuts are coming in!Diet and supps are hard but I'm doing it. Sucks that you put some weight back on but its all about consistency right; if you screw up you just gotta keep coming back and dont give up! If you need any motivation...look at the pic of you when you were at your most cut...it'll make you wanna come back even harder.
Thanks for the compliments, much appreciated! Great progress in the short amount of time you've been training. Best of luck with your goals. Keep up the great work.
Hey thanks so much for the encouragement Ken, your progress is really coming along and looking great, just keep up the hard work and clean eating, you'll get to that 15% soon enough!

Thanks a lot Ken! It's comments like yours that keep me focused and training hard. I see you have made quite a bit of progress over the past year. Keep up the good work! :)

Yeah visiting your bodyspace, I noticed we weren't friends yet either. So I added you. Thanks for the comment Ken; I think my pics are just smoke and mirrors, ie camera angles, etc. Have a great day my friend. And thanks for the add too! ;)
thanks a lot ken! much appreciated. keep at it bro, you'll do great. i've got to admit, i've slacked a bit this week cause of friends coming to town before I start classes again, and movie theater popcorn and pop is definitely NOT in my diet...but the rest of the day is good as far as that goes..unless drug reps come to the Dr's office w/lunch. ha!
impressive story, man. thanks for your very kind words. it's ironic for me, because I come to the site looking for great stories to inspire me to greatness. glad you could to help out anyway I can. you should be very proud of what you've done. the sons in our lives are our real inspiration. do it for them; do it for yourself. you're well on your way brother!
