Fit Status:
I'm staying strong on the diet and workingout hard and hope to lose 8 lbs by Sept 30th.
turned 40 and in the worst shape of my life and said to my self, "Its now or never" and here I am. I have two young boys 4 and 6 that I want to be in shape and have lots of energy for. I don't want to be the fat old dad that can't do anything. I want to be proud to take off my shirt when they want to go to the beach, pool, or water park. Also my wife is also trying to lose weight for health reasons and I told her this would be a great time for us both to make a change to a more healthy life style.
Why I Love It:
To look good and feel better about myself both emotionally and physically.
How I Stay Motivated:

Goal (Long):
I've been out of the gym for about a year and would like to lose fat and pack on some muscle. I would like to further define this muscle to have a solid, cut, physique.
Matt has done an awesome job building an increible all natural physique. Not only does he stay focused in the gym and with his nutrition he is also a Doctor of Pharmacy student and married. Inorder to look as incredible as he does is a job in itself in addition to the school and spouse. His motiviation, determination, and results (see his gallery) give me the inspiration that with dedication and hard work on my part that I too can achieve the results that I'd like to see in the future.
Will has been one of my major motivational friends on bodyspace. From the first time we starting communicating on bodyspace he has encouraged me to work harder and stay dedicated. Will truly has a gift to motivate others. His own dedication and progress has also served as an additional motivational factor for me to train harder and eat better. I've been slack but now I'm back and look forward to his inspiring words again!
You better try and catch up because I am unstoppable locomotive of fitness and nutrition...lol! At least I was for a few days! Get back on it man! Fight the addiction!
well I am still growing just seems like it takes for ever to get any amount of mass... I know what you mean about getting off track with yur diet, I think I am actually going to start taking a mass gainer to substitute at least one meal a day, just for the extra calories, plus I will know that they are healthy calories to. As soon as I get back for my training I will bw posting new progress pics. Good Luck and ... Impossible is Nothing
hey man... just thought i would see how your progress was going, mine good i put a whole inch of my biceps so thats good ...well let me know how your doing
Thanks man. Just keep at it and most importantly don't lose the battle with nutrition. To me, that's the hardest part. We live hectic lives and grabbing fast food is just convienient...that's my biggest challenge...taking the time to eat healthy.
You WILL see abs one day my friend, the only thing that is holding you back is yourself .... and I know you aren't going to let that happen! The fact that you made a bodyspace and you are training hard - there is no room for failure. The only hurdle you have to jump... is time. It's only a matter of time before you get what your working so hard for. Stay focused. It's a marathon not a sprint brother!
Hey, really appreciate it Ken. I've been slacking lately on the diet, but I'm getting back on the wagon tomorrow. Also starting a new training routine called DC training...not sure how much more effective it'll be but it should be a good change of pace.
Good Luck
