Background

When I Started: Jun 1994
HOW I STARTED:

I started training for sports when I was 14. I've always been muscular, I trained with Frank Zane at his home in 1994 I was 30 he set me up with a nutrition and training schedule. 60 days later I looked amazingly different. lost fat and gained about 20 pounds of muscle. My first competition was 6 months later I took second but did not know how to "present" myself, 2 months after that I won my first overall beating a guy 35 pounds heavier than me. I do 3 or 4 shows in a row every three or four years and DO NOT compete every season

WHY I LOVE IT:

I am a lifetime natural bodybuilder. Check out my gallery and pics of over 30 bodybuilding awards including 5 overall trophys, I love competing and watching my competitors jaws hit the floor when I take off my baggy clothes at the last minute to pump up before the pre judging. With my clothes on you would never guess I compete, I am always over looked back stage by the other competitors. I smoke them by taking them off their game being complete and dialed in every show and knowing how to compete onstage AND WIN!

My Motivation Program

I Don't miss workouts for lame excuses, My Friends and Family inspire me with their never ending support. I also rely on them to tell me when I am slacking. Its been tough with three kids and a wife to support, bodybuilding is like #5 on my list of prioritys in my life. Great genetics and knowing my body and installing over 2 million square feet of hardwood flooring in the last 28 years helps.

Day after 2008 Team USA

Well Finally I made Team USA yesterday with a second in the Masters and Third in the Open men, it was a very tough show with over 200 competitors. I am exausted and hate the day after the show my body is just tweaked. I will rest 3 or 4 days and then its back to training and the Natural Olympia this November. I was not at my best at this show considering my younger sister passed away only 6 weeks ago at 40. but I am hoping to dial it all in a little better in the next month. Wish me Luck. I need it!

nick_agost Wow Bob that is incredible! Right now my muscles are groing and my weight has gone down about 2 lbs in the last month. I bought the dessicated liver tabs (awsome deal on 500). Noticing that having a spotter makes my muscles 2x as pumped. whats your take on doing either high reps or low reps for me and slow or fast? eating every 2 hours seems to work best for me. should i worry about keeping my bf under 10% while bulking? HermTheWorm I love your attitude! I especially like the "Smoke anyone who dares step on stage next to me!". That kind of bravado is very cool especially if you can back it up as well as you do. Keep smokin the compitition (My attitude would be: I'd smoke the competition, only I don't have any. BTW, our sigs are very similar too. Also, I'm planning on doing the Frank Zane experience as well.
