When I Started:
Jun, 1994
How I Started:
I started training for sports when I was 14. I trained with Frank Zane at his home in 1994 for 3 days and he set me up with a nutrition and training schedule. 60 days later I looked like a champion bodybuilder. My first competition was 6 months later I took second, 2 months after that I won my first overall beating a guy 35 pounds heavier than me, there is a pic of it in my gallery
Why I Love It:
I am a lifetime natural bodybuilder. I have gained 57 pounds of muscle since I started training in 1994. I love competing and watching big guys jaws hit the floor when I take off my baggy clothes to pump up. if you don't think 57 pounds of muscle is alot stack that much meat on your table you would be suprised how huge it is!
How I Stay Motivated:
I Don't miss workouts for lame excuses, My Friends and Family inspire me with their never ending support. I also rely on them to tell me when I am slacking. My training partner Ed who is a NPC champion bodybuilder kicks my ass on a regular basis
BB Accomplishments:
I have won 5 overalls in bodybuilding competitions.
3 Overalls were in the 2008 season
I won 1994 ABA Rookie of the Year and have competed in 30 bodybuilding shows since 1994.
Won first in my class 15 times, with a bunch of second places also.
I was in Ironman Magazine Lonnie Tepers column August 1996.
I am strong as an ox and can deadlift 545 pounds sumo style at a bodyweight of 185.
I like to train HARD and enjoy training much more than standing on stage in my underwear. I have pushed the limits of my physical and mental strength until I have puked or just been laid out on the floor a few too many times. I like doing nutty things like deadlift 315 pounds 27 times in one set. if you want a good back learn to deadlift right!
A man travels the world in search of what he needs and returns home to find it!
Goal (Long):
"Champions do not become Champions when they win the event, but in the hours weeks and months they spend preparing for it, The victorious performance itself is merely a demonstration of their Champion Character"
I Train extremely hard to win every show I enter. I am blessed with amazing genetics
I hit 3 to 5% bodyfat every time I enter a show.
My main goal every time is to be way better than I was at the last show, make friends and walk home with a another piece of Hardware (trophy) to add to my massive collection. teach my kids to accept defeat with dignity and always have a positive attitude no matter what place I come in. we all want to win, but I have much more respect for the guy who should have won and accepts his placing with dignity, rather than the guy who had no chance runs around crying and yelling how he got ripped off and the show is all political and favorites. A man travels the world in search of what he needs and returns home to find it! Family Friends and Dignity are much more important to me than competing and winning.
Weight Goal:
I want to GAIN 10 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
6%

Well Finally I made Team USA yesterday with a second in the Masters and Third in the Open men, it was a very tough show with over 200 competitors. I am exausted and hate the day after the show my body is just tweaked. I will rest 3 or 4 days and then its back to training and the...
Amazing Physique! Stay Natural! When is your next show? Have you ever looked into the NANBF? It is a great Natural org, There is a show in Sac, in July!!
Wow Bob that is incredible! Right now my muscles are groing and my weight has gone down about 2 lbs in the last month. I bought the dessicated liver tabs (awsome deal on 500). Noticing that having a spotter makes my muscles 2x as pumped. whats your take on doing either high reps or low reps for me and slow or fast? eating every 2 hours seems to work best for me. should i worry about keeping my bf under 10% while bulking?
I love your attitude! I especially like the "Smoke anyone who dares step on stage next to me!". That kind of bravado is very cool especially if you can back it up as well as you do. Keep smokin the compitition (My attitude would be: I'd smoke the competition, only I don't have any. BTW, our sigs are very similar too. Also, I'm planning on doing the Frank Zane experience as well. Now I am even more amped than ever))
Thanks for the encouragement and compliment. I really don't know how to pose but I hired a bodybuilder gym owner to teach me we atart Monday. I appreciate the offer to help. I am sure I will have questions as I go. Thanks for being a friend here.
God Bless
Randy
Hey Bob,
Training is going pretty well. Just trying to keep up on my calories and make sure I eat properly. I know I haven't seen you in the morning lately. Your 2008 Mr. Millenuim pics look amazing.
